Every two years, the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association hosts an awards presentation. The 2018 awards presentation was held in October 2018 at the new Barbados Sandals Royal.

Dover Beach Hotel proudly took home the award for Environmental and Sustainability, and we are ecstatically proud of our win.

For years we have purposefully undertaken measures that help to preserve our environment for a sustainable future. We extend our sincerest thanks to the entire team for the creative ideas implemented to make a difference. We also thank or guests for they cooperation in helping us to reduce our fossil footprint. Our Green Globe Certification is also responsible for us being in the winner’s circle. Dover Beach was a finalist in two other categories: The Employee of the Year category with our Kimmel Carrington who heads the Maintenance Department as well as the category for Social Responsibility.
